UK leads the way for choice and affordability:
Given the Jaguar history and the British penchant of Deisel models, it's unsurprising that the largest array of XF models in terms of engine range and affordability can be found in the UK.
There will be four varients of the XF when it hits the market around March 2008.
The two diesel offerings are sure to create great interest.
First up we have the 2.7 litre diesel model with preliminary prices guildlines suggesting it will cost arounf £34,000.
The 3.0 litre diesel should cost a little more but preliminary pricing suggests it will essentially be around the same £34-£35,000 mark.
The 300 horsepower V8 petrol engine is estimated to cost in excess of £45000. For that you can fly to 0-60 in a reported 6.2 seconds.
The superchared model is aimed squarely at the BMW 5-Series, Audi S4/6, Mecedes E-Class market and will hit 60 mph in an eye-blinking 5.1 seconds. It boasts the same engine as the XKR and will cost a preliminary estimate of £55,000.
Premium versions with wider wheel base and other such add-ons will take the price of both these models to the 37-38,000. to reiterate these price guidelines are preliminary, so maybe Jaguar may have a little sweetener up their sleeve for when official prices are set. |
